Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – A gentle start to the journey

 

Upon arrival at Hanoi International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel in the city center. Vietnam’s thousand-year-old capital is known for its unique atmosphere, where historic landmarks blend seamlessly with everyday urban life.

After breakfast, depart for Duong Lam Ancient Village, one of the few villages in Vietnam that has preserved its traditional architecture. Enjoy a leisurely walk through quiet lanes lined with laterite houses, communal temples, and scenes of authentic local life in the Red River Delta countryside.

In the afternoon, continue the drive toward the mountainous provinces of Northeast Vietnam. The scenery gradually changes as flat farmlands give way to rolling hills and limestone landscapes, marking the beginning of a more remote and scenic region.

Depart in the morning for Ban Gioc Waterfall, located on the border between Vietnam and China. Considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country, Ban Gioc is set amid a dramatic mountain backdrop and offers excellent photo opportunities.

After time to enjoy the falls, continue to Phuc Sen Village, known for its traditional blacksmith craft. Meet local Nung families and learn about a centuries-old skill passed down through generations, providing another authentic glimpse into local life in Northeast Vietnam.

Return to Cao Bang in the late afternoon.

Today’s journey takes you to Lang Son along some of the most beautiful scenic mountain roads in Northeast Vietnam. The route passes through karst landscapes and rural areas close to the Chinese border, offering a deeper sense of the region’s geography and history.

Arrive in Lang Son in the afternoon.

Depending on time, visit Tam Thanh Cave or stroll through a local market.

Day 7: Lang Son – Hanoi – Departure (B)

 

After breakfast, return to Hanoi, passing through the final stretches of countryside in Northeast Vietnam. Arrival is expected in the early afternoon.
